Turn on Smart Unlock

Enable Smart Unlock. When your phone detects a Bluetooth device (such as a wrist band) that can be used to unlock the screen, the phone will automatically switch to “Slide to unlock” to make unlocking easier and faster.

1. Go to Settings > Bluetooth , and enable Bluetooth. Select a device, then follow the onscreen instructions to complete pairing.

2. Go to Settings > Biometrics & password > Smart Unlock on the phone and enable Smart Unlock.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions to setup the lock screen password. Skip this step if you have already set the password.

4. In the Paired devices list, tap the name of the device to be used for unlocking and follow the instructions to set it as an unlocking device. The lock screen password must be entered when setting up for the first time.
